My plan was that Lucy would be my only child.

My only heir. I was ready to be with my little girl. I had a good pregnancy and every doctor appointment marked that I was getting closer to having my daughter in my arms. February 16th, 2012 my pregnancy was full term at 39 weeks and I was in labor when we were told Lucy no longer had a heartbeat and would be stillborn. What we thought would be a lifetime of spending time with her turned into a moment.

Our Lucy was born on February 18th, 2012 and was placed in my arms. Her father and I held her and spent time with her. She was perfect and she was ours. She had a full head of black hair and the same shaped lips as me and she had her father’s complexion and ears. During pregnancy we decided if we had a girl her name would be Lucy. I liked the name a lot and it means “The Bringer of Light.” She certainly is and always will be the light in our lives. We miss her terribly. To our Lucy, As long as we live you will live, you will be remembered and you will be loved. Love, Mom and Dad
